Beta notes and questions-Droid compatibility; ratings

Tanya says: There are two versions: One for Android 2.0/Droid, and one for every other Android phone. Please make sure you have the right one; the wrong one won't be happy. The two versions are identical, except for the way they hook into Android; this is necessary because of changes between Android 1.X and 2.X.
As for the ratings: how many cigars do you think five guys can smoke, anyway? We rate what WE smoke-tell us what you think about what YOU smoke!

Beta notes and questions-Cigars missing from the database
Andrew writes: So far so good. I noticed that the database doesn't contain the Double Ligero from La Flor Dominicana, only the single. Also, noy 601 Serie Green.
Tanya says: We're planning to have the database finished next month. We've been bulk loading new data with the builds during the alpha period; obviously we can't do that now that we have users, since it resets everything. We're adding the admin interface now for the updates; we plan to update the database continually as new cigars come out.
That's our side. On your side, there's a fair chance you have or know about cigars that we don't -- stuff, say, from the boom. Just hit MENU when you are at the cigar listings, and ADD NEW ITEM to the database! It will appear immediately in your lists.
Together, we can build the best cigar database anywhere!

Alerts!!
Alerts appear in the upper left corner of your phone whenever your friends do something interesting:
· A cigar will appear with your other alerts, such as the ones you get when there is a new message in your GMail account
o Simply pull down the Alert and touch it, the way you would any other; that will take you to the User Events screen so you can see what your buddies are up to!
The Manage Friends Screen:
o Tabs:
§ The Friends tab shows your current Friends. Long Pressing a name allows you to:
· Delete them from your Friends list (They will go back to Available)
· View their Contact
§ Available shows in mi humidor users who are also in your Contacts. Long Pressing a name allows you to:
· Send a Friend Request
· View their Contact
§ Pending:
· Shows your pending Friend requests
§ Events:
· Shows all events from you and your friends; whenever any of you:
o Add cigars to your humidor
o Smoke a cigar
o Rate a cigar
o Comment on a cigar
o Short Pressing on any event takes you to the details; Long Pressing allows you to view the contact of that person
§ Invite has two sub tabs:
· Phone Contacts: Short Press any name to send your friend a TXT message invite
· Mail Contacts: Check box everyone you want to invite; press MENU to send the invitations
The Details Screen:
o The Add Button: Adds cigars to your humidor; the number is set in the drop down just to the left.
o The Smoke One! Button: Appears when you have the cigar in your humidor. Press it to smoke one!
o The Rating Stars: Are active; just press them to give the cigar a star rating.
o Comments: Click the Comments link at the bottom of the screen (Or hit the menu button) to Add or Read comments. Comments are threaded by cigar.
How to use the Home Screen
The Home Screen:
o The Search Box: Searches All Cigars. Autofills cigar names as you type them into the box
o Browse Cigars button: Use the radio buttons to browse All Cigars or just what’s in your humidor
o Manage Friends: See what your friends are doing; invite new ones
o The Menu Button: Pulls up the Preferences menu, where you can toggle:
§ Friend Activity Notification
§ Publish My Activities
§ Friend Request Notifications
